We finally finished our first project together! This is the first project the students did in KidPix which is tied in with their unit on "I am Special" and shows their creativity and skill in using a mouse to draw. We then put it together and made into a quick slideshow movie using the program iMovie. Enjoy and see what makes the Kindergarteners think they are special!

Here's a collection of online activities for you to do this holiday season.
Hi KGs, We missed another week of school and i'm starting to miss you all! I am happy to hear that many of you have been visiting our computer lab website as you all already know how to access it from our school website. You may have noticed that I have added a few more links on the Kindergarten page for you to explore and have fun while learning! Here's what I would want you to do and try this week: 1. When we come back to school, we are going to start learning about proper keyboarding. Start practicing how to type properly and where to find the letters on the keyboard by going to these websites: a. Typing with Katie - learn with Katie where to place your fingers on the keyboard. b. Keyseeker - now that you know from Katie where to place your fingers on the keyboard, start practicing how to type the right way (PURPLE letters use LEFT and GREEN letters use RIGHT) PARENTS: Your participation is required during the game to encourage your child to use the correct hand. 2. Go to the Kindergarten page and learn more about your letters by exploring Starfall ABCs or any of the five activities under Letters.
This will be a place where I will be posting most of our computer lessons, news about what we are up to in our tech classes and any interesting links that will enhance student learning and most of all will host a showcase of the technology projects the kindergarteners have completed. All are welcome to provide appropriate comments :) Hope you enjoy our KG blog :)
